The best time of the year for having fun is here, but while you're enjoying the celebrations and getting ready to go home, burglars won't be taking time off, and will be looking to leave you with a headache when you come back next year.

There are some simple things you can do to stop yourself from becoming a victim while you're away from your room - secure your room before you leave, make sure you take all important valuables with you, especially things like laptops. You could also get a lamp timer, to make the room look lived in, or ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye on things while you're away.
